With over 1000 hand-drawn images, this user-friendly guide introduces learners to vocabulary naturally, without the hassle of translation. The Wordless Language Learning Guide is an image based curriculum that guides learners and their language host through the most elementary of concepts in any language.

Apart from the introduction in English, there are no written words in this book. Making it “wordless”. Concepts are shared through the spoken word of the teacher (language host).

Inspired by the Growing Participator Approach, this book uses a sequence of images to guide language teachers (hosts) and their learners through the essentials of a their new language. By the completion of this book the learner should have and elementary (A1) understanding of the new language. They will be able to perform basic tasks such as:

  • Meeting and greeting people
  • Buying essentials at the market
  • Expressing their feelings
  • Describing simple scenes
  • Introducing their family
  • Describing the weather

The Wordless Language Learning Guide is a great teaching tool and can be used to coach individuals or teach small classes. It was developped for travellers who want to learn oral languages, making it the perfect tool for working on listening and speaking skills.

Required: A language host. This book is a tool for learning language. Without someone who speaks the language desired, this book is just a pretty collection of images.
